Return of the Polaroid

As reported over at Gizmodo:
"While the tears spilled mourning the death of Polaroid's instant film division are still somewhat damp, the company has a little spark of an announcement that could make hardcore 'roiders (of the best kind) happy—the company looks like it's finally getting serious about building its Zink instant digital printing tech into a camera."

Could it be, the return of polaroid, as long as I don't ever need to use it, good news.

This is one of the artists in the Manifest gallery. He goes by the name Eddie, and this looks great. Another reason to go.

One of the benefits from th DNCC is the attention it will put on Denver. Even better, the art it will add to Denver. I was excited about the DNCC, but I am really pumped about this, be worth fighting the crowds.

The 10,000 square foot venue will display work by both established an emerging artists. Additionally, the proponents of the candidate that can actually raise his arms above his head will hold an art contest and 30 submissions will be featured in an online gallery with the top 5 hung physically at the 'Hope' Gallery.

Something very romantic about the typewriter. Complex machinery that has the sole purpose of putting letters on page. Too bad they are nearly, completely, unnecessary any more. At least, there is a second life for som. Keep in mind, Jeremy uses a process he terms "Cold Fitting," in which no welding or glue is used. Head on over to his site to see more of the art.

Ikea

Ikea tends to do a lot of "put your stuff out there" campaigning, but, it does still work. This is a promotion from Host, Australia:

The change was shown each day at the campaign microsite. A competition which could be entered via SMS or at the campaign site enabling people to win the makeover each day, with the entire room contents available at the end of each week in each state.

Wine in a Can

While I don't have much from the website, I am digging the design (except the shape of the can). Or, at least, the opening and the black-all-over look. If wine in a can has a few hurdles to get over, I'd be over them with the design.
