Fresh Air

A little tongue-in-cheek and probably not all that effective (aside from the pictures they have of people trying it out) but the idea is fresh. Wirz BBDO Network, Zurich, Switzerland

Global Warming Touch Point

Ladies and gentlemen, it's all about the insight, the new opportunity and the ability to reach someone when they do not expect it. KNARF, New York, USA.

Catch of the Day

Something oddly beautiful about these shots, then again, they are very moving.

Surfrider Foundation teamed up with Satchi & Satchi LA to create “Catch of the Day.” Simply and brilliantly, they collected actual trash from beaches around the U.S., packaged it like food, and left it on display at farmer’s markets. It’s site-specific, appropriate, impacting, meaningful, shocking, and an actual consumer insight into the very act they’re in the middle of. Someone about to buy fish from the same ocean as the trash in their hands can’t help but be at least a little more enlightened as to how pollution isn’t someone else’s problem.

Festival of Lights, Etc.

This shot is from a recent festival in Berlin, but the article has some other really cool night-light art.

Sagmeister Makes Penny Art, Cops Make It Disappear

...Or something like that. I don't quite understand the whole story told here on droog. But it is one of the coolest public / temporary art pieces I've ever seen. See the whole flickr set ( where I got the pics) here.

Oh yeah, the piece says, "Obsessions make my life worse and my work better.” I was just contemplating this the other day... Hmmm, is that sign to make some changes?

Turn Out the Lights

I've been looking at a bunch of guerilla ideas this morning, and while all of them use unique executions to make a point, they're mostly sout of context. This stands out more because it plays with the environment.

The medium is the message.

Ambient Media Tuesday

Third post in a row about ambient media, is there any question about advertising taking a decided turn in this direction? This one is for a stock photography company, seems like you could hit the mark pretty easily with this.

Funky Feet

Nice ambient media effort on a limited budget. See you can do great work without breaking the bank.

Cardboard Store

This is beautiful, stunning, aspirational. It's for Aesop Beauty products. Nothing but product and space. I would love to see this here. Click here for the story.

We're #2

If you're familiar with oobject, they regularly have the top ten lists of "everything." If you head over to the top ten most beautiful airports in the world, you will see DIA is ranked number duo. Pretty great considering airports all over the world were considered.

Hubba Bubba

I love this. It has the fun associated with the brand, but brings it to life in an unexpected way. Although I'm not sure how thrilled its "host ads" are.

Sanyo Builds an Ark

A solar ark to be precise. Again, there seems to be a green kick in the air today.

Two thoughts, the best branding you can do is to give content as our friend Josh Spear would say. While he was talking digital, this is a great way to do it in the physical world. And second, why can't we get this type of eco friendly, sustainable energy here in the states?

Beauty and Function, can't think of anything that relates more to design.

Environmental Awareness: Swimming Pool

Check out this great environmental posting, placed in swimming pools.

Love the idea, great use of medium and message, leaves me wondering how far the reach is though.
