Augmented Identity
"Augmented ID is a TAT concept that visualizes the digital identities of people you meet in real life. With a mobile device and face recognition software from Polar Rose, Augmented ID enables you to discover selected information about people around you. All users control their own augmented appearance, by selecting the content and social network links they want show to others."

Minute Maid Design
Check out the fresh new packaging from Duffy and Partners. This is the second complete revamp they have worked on for the brand and this is one fresh look (Thursday pun alert). Really clean and open look this year with an eye to on shelf, but you kind of expect that from the powerhouse design company.

Hand Pulled Calendars
It's that time of year. Time for you to get some great gifts and refresh your old calendar. Lucky for you, your friends Nicky and Stuart Alden have both covered. They are currently selling these and many more delightful art pieces that double as a calendar. All screen printed and, word is, some of them glow. Get yours before they are gone.

A Little Darkness for Balance
Wonderful Time lapse in combination with a little animation makes for a surreal story line of survival.
The Shack
Wouldn't have predicted saying this earlier, but Radio Shack has successfully updated their image (television anyway) to a more quirky, attention grabbing look and feel. I actually like seeing these. Who knew? Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners / San Francisco, California, USA

**Nerd Alert!** Surrealism + Science = Brilliant.
When art can help communicate science and bridge the gap between the expert and the novice, I admit, I get a tad bit giddy. Exquisite Corpses used for more than just surrealistic party games... how awesome is that? Check out more of the brilliance here.

Merry Christmas Baby
The voice over is spot on, although I don't believe it was intended for the states, and the copy is delicious. Top it off with some wonderful-impromptu cuts and editing and you have one wonderful spot that centers around their product. Joy to watch.

Keeping with the theme du jour:
A new exhibit at the Werribee Open Range Zoo, in Melbourne, Australia allows visitors to get up close and personal with the wildlife. The back of the jeep up to the windshield is outside of a protected, glass enclosure. The hood is laden with meat to entice the predators up within a whisker's length of the spectators. Woah. Learn more here.

Good old Fashioned Augmented Reality
Best Use of Augmented Reality...So Far
In Japan you can now use AR in a Vending Machine, good idea. Users can bring a printout or use your cell phone to access it, ok, not so intuitive (especially since there is a window with actual product right there). Afterwards (and here is where there could be gold) you hold the product up and get (awesome so far) to see the (wait for it) ingredients and nutritional value... let down!
If only they would have been entertaining, I guess we'll have to give them some time, they are sooooo close!

Ping Pong Anyone?
Metal on Metal "BASTARD" from The Glue Society on Vimeo.
Some times you get to see an idea that few could think of. This is one of those golden nuggets. Maybe a bit too graphic for my taste at the end but wonderfully cast and shot. Director: Matt Devine, The Glue Society for Metal On Metal.

Locals You Don't Know: Sam Adams Photography
You may not know him yet, as he just moved to Denver, but if you are looking for that outdoor action/beauty shot, you may want to look in your back yard. Or just go to Sam's Website.
Hey, Here's My Beard
What a seem-less way to give a beard. Nice idea that had to start with how much someone wanted all the world to know what it is like to thoughtfully stroke your beard.

Ruining Santa for 5 year-olds
I will never be able to think of Mrs. Claus in that way...(I was going to say again, but that feels wrong too)... but I will remember this ad for a long time. Nice Christmas Extension of a fun campaign.
