Obama
There is a bit of hope running around the land. Having only lived through the 80s, 90s and 00s (70s don't count, I was too young) I can't remember a candidate or a general political stand that inspired so many artists to do something or make their voice heard. Not sure if it is our times or the people in them, but it does instill hope.

JibJab does it Again
Introduction: Lee Reedy Fine Art
Hey, you already knew Lee Reedy is a staple in the Design/Advertising Community. What you may not know is he has a much more traditional art side. Don't believe us, thats your choice, but I'd still head on over to www.leereedyfineart.com and see what some of us do in our spare time. You may even discover some of us have spare time.

BBC Olympic Promos
From Gorillaz creators, Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, comes this fun spot for the Olympics. The story comes from the legend of the Monkey King, in case you missed it,
Pixar's Next
Kinda feel that as well as Pixar tells stories, they belong here. So, here they are. Not sure what the story is, but they always deliver the goods. Besides, it gives me something else to look forward to.
Motivation
Looking for something to put on your walls, something motivational? A reminder of good work that is good work? Look no further than here.

Head and Shoulders
Nice stories, clean look (not bad for shampoo), and a clever way to deliver message. All without a single shot of hair, congrats.
Bad Photoshop, the blog
Great Blog here, Photoshop Disasters. It is a walkthrough of what not to do when trying to create that perfect lie. My favorite would have to be the overpopulation of celebrities with big heads. Just because you can doesn't mean you know how.

Good Type
Good Type is a lost art. You rarely see any new work that is all type. Clients just want pictures. I had nearly lost hope, but now Craig Ward has restored my faith. Look out, new work ahead, inspiration and a bit of needing-to-fill-my-little-available-time with type. More inspiration, and type, on his site.
Tera Era
Hitachi has found a way to get terabytes on hard drives. They celebrate it by this craptastic video that explains you can put a lot on them. Thought this would be informative, you know, the character looked like a Bill from School House Rock, so I thought they would use the medium to explain how they did it. Nope. Let's just say there is a lot of creepy here.

If your fonts were People
Usually, College Humor is off my radar, but when you talk to me sweetly about fonts, I'll watch just about anything. Not the best humor, (really, just going by the names, how very disappointing) but it does start to explain how fonts got into every computer. However, it is still about the fonts so here you go:

What if there were no stop signs and...
The laughs keep rolling in, finally, I have something to show to my family members so they understand why I am going to be late.
Got Milk Paper Style
Horrible Download times, yet worth it. Head on over to Got Milk and check out the beautiful site to play the games, learn a bit, and be entertained. Complete with a ripoff (but still very nice) Ready Mech paper dolls as prizes. The games and puzzles are a it too easy, but art is nice.
Beautiful Designers
Words don't do this justice, they're lips are moving, they're pretty, and....hell, just go watch it. It is my new favorite description for what we do (replacing Monster's When I Grow Up)

Denver Water Campaign
Most of you have probably seen this amazing work from Sukle all over town. They really know how to push good concepts and get people talking. I don't think I know anyone in advertising who doesn't wish they were working for them. Keep up the good work Sukle, we'll all keep envying you.

Jawbone
Have you broken California's new Hands Free Law, then you too can qualify for a discount on the world's sexiest bluetooth handset. Seriously, great promotion. VIA NotCot.org
Adithread
Everyone is talking about how to not talk to consumers but actually bring them into the brand. Adidas has continued to raise the bar. The last post we had for the All Black team was using their blood for the ink on a poster. this is even better, bring fan's names and support, and put them on the thread they use to make the jersey. Sure, they can't actually read the name, but it is there, using some pretty cool tech, now fans are truly a part of the team. Hit the site for more. VIA NotCot.com
Google is Terrifying
Not entirely sure these aren't sanctioned by Google (way too much information about service), but even if they are, they are still great, low budget, concepts. Either way, visit The Vacationers for more of their work.

Your Hockey Smells
General Order
Once again, a view of General Order. He’s a maniac, I think you can tell just by looking at him. Although his intentions are good, he has a way of being a little bit… insane.
There are more, in this flickr group, but the image and description are just perfect. I'd love to see this guy real, solving unpatriotic crime.
The World Will Now End
After seeing this paradox, the world surely is on its way to collapse, be ready for the end, photoshop effects as don through a camera. Fun idea, but sadly, that is all there is, there is no more. Link
Olympic Logo
Check out this site, with every olympic logo since 1932. And, after perusal, I'd rate the best somewhere in the middle, and surely not Beijing or London.
