Beautification Machine




This is comparative images that are run through a software that manipulates the image on the left to make the image on the right. The image on the right is comparatively "more attractive" or so the program says. Is there anyone else out there that just thinks this makes them look funny. Let's face it, if you have any experience retouching you probably know that it is very difficult to manipulate faces. Humans have had millions of years of evolution that programs their brains to recognize faces. If anything is slightly off, we register it.

So, I submit, these people are not more attractive. They're actually kinda creepy. It is always especially tough to improve on the original. I certainly don't think this program is going to take anyones job any time soon. For more, read the New York times article here.
