Students: The Briefies Oct. 29

Thursday, October 29th : 5:30 to 10pm
Metro State College of Denver: The Tivoli, Room #640: 900 Auraria Parkway, Denver CO
80204-1852

The Art Directors Club of Denver, in conjunction with Crispin Porter + Bogusky, The Denver Office of Cultural Affairs, and Future Leaders of Design (Metro State's Communication Design Club), are hosting The Brief—a student concepting and design competition open to design and advertising students at all levels.

The Brief simulates a late night at an ad agency. 16 teams of 4 students (comprised of a Senior, Juniors and a Sophomore or Freshman from regional Colleges and Universities) will be directed by 8 Senior Creatives from the local Design and Advertising community through four hours of pencil and paper concepting and digital execution. The teams will respond to a creative brief written by CP+B Senior Cognitive Jamie Webb for the client Kendall Peterson,
The Denver Office of Cultural Affairs Public Art Administrator. Each team will have minimum one laptop, but the focus will be on traditional concepting—thumbnail sketches and mind maps followed by a presentation of digital roughs.

In addition to receiving valuable real world experience, and networking opportunities with local art directors and with each other, student winners will receive scholarship money.

Cost: $20 ($15 group rate for 10 or more students registering on 1 credit card.)
Prizes: Registration fees will be pooled and awarded as scholarship money to the winners.

Pre-register by Monday October 26th at:
